Big rig rv park
Nice big place take part in the deals they Ofer if you want to the Grand Canyon its a good place to stay all concrete and asphalt
BIG RIG RV PARK little rigs ok
Most recent stay was 05-05-16 [I’m late with submitting my review] ~ We camp in a "Tear Drop” style RV only 15' long w/o toilet or shower ~ plus we like to eat outdoors using the picnic table and set up our dining canopy for sun and weather protection and thus rely on condition of campgrounds facilities and being nearby our site ~ so our critique is focused in that area. Lots of pictures already of general RV Park + the sites, so I’ll focus on the restroom.
PROS there is a solid picnic table at your site to use. Facility is newer and modern and all sites level with full hookups. Restroom/shower/laundry fully tiled floors and walls and up to date, with roomy private shower stalls + includes separate changing area with wall mounted bench and plenty of wall hooks for your stuff. Hot water and good pressure. Sink/vanity area is roomy and also modern. Convenient to Grand Canyon National Park and close to town for shopping needs.
CONS narrow “green-belt” strip between sites with no privacy. Strip too narrow, could not set up our dinning fly over the picnic table, no place to anchor tie down straps to keep it up (very windy during our stay), and could not cook outdoors with camp stove. Faucets at sink/vanity area are automatic push button with slow no low pressure spray similar to what you might find in restaurant restroom, not convenient for normal bathroom use. No wall hooks or wall shelves for your stuff – gotta place on floor top of vanity which can be wet and messy. Glad they had paper towels for that.
Not for dog owners
It's clean and spaces are big, but ... And it's a big but ... almost the entire place is asphalt. Not good for dogs. If it's hot, the asphalt will burn their feet. So, if you have dog, think twice. There is no grass what-so-ever.
Good Park
Big rig friendly; asphalt roads; pull-thrus; FHU; 30-50 amp; free cable; free wi-fi. PA discount $20.05/night; shuttle to railroad train to Grand Canyon.
Nice park
We stayed 2 nights here. Nice staff. Not far from town ate at Pine Country Restaurant wonderful food. The lg. rocks were hard for our dog to walk on. But up in the back of the park you are in the forest under the pines, much easier to walk on
Great park, great price with passport America
Great park, can use passport America and get half price $25. A night. Can use motel pool and hot-tub with free shuttle. NO DOG Park, dogs have to do their business on the rocks.
Williams, AZ
Very nice park, nice large level sites. clean restrooms and laundry. Free shuttle to hotel for many more amenities.. Close to Grand Canyon 1 hr
Package Plans are the best for saving $$
When we called to make our three night reservation, the agent asked us if we would like to take their train to the Grand Canyon and with a Motorcoach tour of the South Rim plus lunch. There was a huge savings doing it that way rather than booking everything separately. We also got a dome car on the train w/o extra costs.
Excellent
We loved this place because it was in the heart of the town and close to the train depot. Our site was a very large pull-through with full hook-ups. Since it was off season, it was very cold so we didn't use our table, BBQ, or folding chairs outside. We used the laundry facilities and was happy with it. Also, if you needed a ride to the train depot, or the Depot Cafe they would send a shuttle to pick you up and bring you back to your campsite. Free too!
Grand Canyon Railway RV Park
We loved this park. I can think of no reason why this park should get any less than 5 stars. We have a 43' Motorhome and our site was very adequate. All long and level concrete slabs. The cable was adequate. We have a Verizon card so didn't use the WiFi much. This is a Good Sam park as well as Passport America. The staff is friendly and the park is spotless. We took the 8 1/2 hour train trip to the Grand Canyon and left our dog at the kennel located next to the train depot and campground office. It was a great service! We would definitely stay here again.
Be sure to check out the deal packages they offer when you ride the train to the Grand Canyon.
