Right on the river
As the name indicates, this is on the Kankakee River. We were in the Potawatomi Campground. There is a path from the campground to the river. We were there in mid-October, the last weekend the park was open. The sites were large and very wooded. Since we were there for only one night and it was raining, we didn’t use any of the facilities. However, there is only 1 shower building for about 90 campsites and it is located between 2 of the 4 loops.

*Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) Quarantine is now in effect for Kankakee County. No firewood can be brought into the park. You must use alternate sources or purchase firewood at the park.
