Sheila & Don from England stay at Horseshoe
The Horseshoe Campsite covers a 290 acre preserve and it has 125 site pitches and there are 11 lakes here set aside for fishing and boating. From the camping side the pitches are very tight for access with the trees, also some of the roadways were a little uneven and not really suitable for large RVs, at one point the slope was so steep that We really had to just creep along and allow the RV to adjust to the uneven slope without rocking. Most of the sites are not that level obviously the best ones have been taken by the permanent campers although even some of these seemed tight. For a quick short stay the site was acceptable but we wouldn't want to be here for a longer stay, there was no where we could sit outside our RV as the site was a little muddy in some areas the gravel was worn out and breaking down. We have probably been spoilt by the better sites we stayed at over the past months and being in among the trees is not our favourite location. The TV coverage was better we had 11 stations to choose from and we could get the news, also telephone was good, free Wifi only at the community buildings & was slow for downloads. We TT members so have paid for the year so we don't pay on the sits.
