*NOTICE:
The Henry Cowell Redwoods Campground is now closed for the season (effective November 1) due to routine inclement winter weather in the Santa Cruz Mountains and scheduled maintenance of facilities and infrastructure. Due to significant budget cuts and funding limitations, the Campground will remain closed this season until May 1, 2011. This pertains to the campground only as Henry Cowell Redwoods is open to day use from sunrise to sunset year round.
Camping is available nearby at Big Basin Redwoods State Park. The campground at Big Basin will remain open year round and is approximately 30 minutes away from Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park.
*Be aware this is NOT Henry Coe State Park. Henry W. Coe is primarily a wilderness park; hot and dry in the summer. Henry Cowell is known for it's Redwoods and is in the Santa Cruz Mts.
*Possession of open containers and consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited in Henry Cowell State Park.
