Nice Park. Friendly managers. Friendly people. No wifi?
Great RV Park
I see all the reviews on this place and it is so old. The park has upgraded every since then. The owners and the manager is very sweet. I love visiting this RV Park I've been going here on vacation every summer for the last 2 years. It is a really great park. I would recommend any one to go there, it is really spectacular and relaxing.
pretty, unassuming vintage-style park
I spotted this park from the I-8 and thought it looked neat with all its mature palm trees and vintage styling. I decided to go in and stay for the night. Inside it definitely has that vintage feel: gravel lots, wood picnic tables, and patches of grass with citrus and palm trees. The palms are the best-- they remind me of old California. Lots are pretty close together but when I stayed in November 2011 the park was fairly empty. I did not try the bathrooms or showers, but I enjoyed walking around the park. There is farmland on several sides. If you stay on the North side you won't hear interstate noise. AT $29 a night the rate isn't dirt cheap but it is still cheaper than equivalent older parks I stayed in in Texas.
don;t do dirty bathrooms etc..........
park has great potential but is in major disrepair and very dirty bathrooms....just check out the bathroom in the clubhouse - probably botttom of toilet hasn't ben cleaned in a couple of years - disgusting. Given the condition the price is high. Internet is very poor. Even after telling the owners about the state of the bathrooms they didn't do much. They don't have proper cleaners but some men who live there. Pool was dirty and the solar didn't work.........no lounge chairs......
Nothing fancy
This is a decent little park, but the rate was a bit high due to the amenities. Some people also complain about road noise and the train going by, but that didn't bother us, we didn't even notice it.
The park was clean, although dated. We did not use any of the facilities. Roads through the park are very loose packed gravel, they looked like they might be newer. Some of the fulltimers told us that it gets super busy by February.
The location of the park is very convenient to the border crossing to Los Algodones, Mexico. There is another much larger park about the same distance way, just on the other side of the freeway and one right at the border crossing, but it's not very nice and quite expensive.
We have some pictures we took at the park on our blog here, unfortunately I am not able to upload them with the review for some reason:

If you have pets and want to stay here you will be required to park in the pet-side of the park which does not have any grass.
